Job Description:
· Plan, schedule, drive, and facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning; establish and communicate schedules; work with stakeholders to identify, align, and communicate objectives for each PI; facilitate PI planning readiness and events
· Manage delivery of PI objectives; monitor and communicate progress; manage and enable resolution of risks/blockers and dependencies between teams; escalate as necessary
· Manage and optimize coordinated release schedules for programs; plan and drive the delivery of the software releases, ensuring firm-wide objectives are met
· Provide supervision and direction to project teams to ensure successful execution
· Foster collaboration between teams and stakeholders
· Define, gather, analyze, and communicate key execution metrics
· Collaborate across build, support, automation, and architectural teams to help remove roadblocks and drive platform adoption
· Distill complex information for leadership and business partners into a precise, concise, and consumable executive level summary
· Writing eloquently knowing how to tell a good story with the right message for the audience, whether through a PowerPoint deck, email, or Confluence page
· Editing and formatting content to deliver quality communications
· Be an advocate and leader to transform teams into more mature agile teams using scaled agile practices with a focus on effectiveness and automation
· Ensure alignment with Schwab Technology Services (STS) and Cross Enterprise Services (CES) agile standards and measures, program execution guidelines and operational excellence objectives
· Schedule and facilitate key collaboration sessions including Scrum-of-Scrums, post-sprint reviews, demos, and other periodic synchronization meetings
· Champion continuous improvement culture across the organization
Additional job details:
· Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of program/project management experience with organization, budgeting, and scheduling
· 5+ years of agile and release management or release train experience
· Proactive, independent leader who can deliver on outcomes
· Skills to build strong relationships and partner with software development managers, product owners, and other key stakeholders across the organization for focused execution of business priorities
· Understanding of product development and software development lifecycle to ensure the on-time, quality delivery of software product releases
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to distill information to communicate the right message and deliver presentations to the team and management
· Experience supporting senior leaders and executives in various forms of technical and/or business communications, building reports with PowerPoint, Tableau, or other reporting tools
· Solid comprehension of Lean-Agile frameworks, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), agile budgeting, and agile metrics and experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework environment facilitating Scrum/Kanban ceremonies
· Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure and with ambiguity
· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to quickly analyze a situation and coordinate across teams to find a solution
