About the Team:

Our team creates and maintains the foundational applications used by our internal Investment Management systems for portfolio managers, analysts, and research teams. As a member of the Summit team you will work closely with the developers and IT staff to create secure, reliable, accurate, and performant Investment Management applications.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

·        Create Single Page Apps in a modern Javascript framework in support of Investment Management team

·        Collect requirements, create rapid mockups, and iterate to a final design

·        Provide timely support for existing frontend applications

·        Work with POC team to translate Proof of Concepts into reliable performant and supportable production code

·        Work with backend team to develop new, highly performant, and consistent RESTful API’s which will improve development time

·        Create Unit tests for all frontend code

·        Refactor or rewrite legacy code and move to a modern framework

·        Investigate new libraries and technologies to improve our visualizations and commonly used components

·        Create new common components that can be reused.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience is required

·        4+ years working with web application frameworks supported by a backend

·        2+ years working with modern SPA framework and secured systems

·        5+ years developing and supporting end user facing software required

·        Experience using Angular 1.x and/or Vue

·        Excellent communications skills

·        React and .NET MVC experience is a plus

·        Full stack and backend experience is a plus

·        Proven experience delivering complex, reliable, and performant systems

·        Proficient troubleshooting-skills particularly under pressure

·        Demonstrates initiative and persistence – is self-motivated

·        Financial services industry experience is a plus
