Job Description:


·        The Senior Java Web Developer is responsible for translating business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large, complex, and leading-edge web solutions.


·        The individual is responsible for design, development, deployment, maintenance, and in some cases support of multi-tiered web applications.


·        The position requires the ability to author clear and concise documentation and possess solid presentation and communication skills.


·        Individual must work effectively in a team-based environment Code - Use best practices and industry standards to design, write, and deploy solid and maintainable application components using HTML, Advanced JavaScript, CSS, internal frameworks and 3rd party tools.


·        A keen eye towards key architecture attributes such as performance and security must be observed in collaboration with technical lead Design - Synthesize Architectural and Design solutions by using the architectural design to drive the creation of software designs.


·        Collaborate and Clarify - Partner with the business, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders on decisions regarding prioritization, execution, work allocation, sprint planning, goal setting.


·        Help to clarify the technical concerns of stakeholders including the business and the development team Context - Have a full stack view of the applications owned by the team and how they fit into the broader context of the software system.


·        Use this perspective to provide technical direction in terms of frameworks, practices, and code quality Technical Growth - Keep up to date on new technologies as they pertain to the owned applications.


·        Attend conferences, follower bloggers and meet regularly with other tech leads and architects Ownership of Quality Outcome - Have a strong sense of software craftsmanship.


·        Own the applications, work to ensure quality through use of tooling such as security analysers, static code analysis, unit test threshold monitoring and others.


·        Expert level understanding of interfaces, inheritance and how they're used.


·        Solid knowledge of classes and functions and in what layer they should be placed.


·        Solid understanding of the SOLID design principles Other advanced programming techniques.


·        Expert level experience with an Inversion Control/Dependency Injection.


·        Solid experience with Test Driven Development.


Entry-level Model View Presenter (MVP) pattern Strong experience with designing DB structures and strong DB development skills Exposure to other application stacks such as Java and MEAN Working knowledge of IAAS and PAAS solutions from cloud providers such as Azure and AWS Solid knowledge and preferably some hands-on experience with security, network, servers, storage, and database architecture and configurations.
