Summary

As the TKWW Enterprise team continues to expand and refine the systems we use to support the business, and with advancement of a new Enterprise systems global roadmap that will standardize processes across global CRM, ERP and HCM platforms, the integrations between those systems become ever more important. The Senior Data Engineer role is crucial to the success of the Enterprise Data team. This role requires a variety of skill sets including solid fundamentals of modeling data, building advanced ETL/ELT integrations utilizing various tools like Dell Boomi, working with relational and nosql databases, building and working with cloud technologies, and ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies.

Our systems are only as good as their ability to communicate with each other and this role is ultimately responsible for communication between Enterprise SaaS and custom developed systems.

Responsibilities

● Model, develop and maintain databases (relational, non-relational/nosql)

● Design, develop and maintain integrations using various integration technologies and methodologies

● Monitor and provide support of enterprise integrations

● Generate documentations: architecture, entity relationship diagrams, flow charts, wiki articles, etc.

● Attend daily scrum meetings

● Participate in sprint planning meetings and providing level of efforts on sprint items

● Use JIRA to manage sprint work

● Working with a team of developers, QA and product/project managers

● Participate in the continuous improvement of our development and deployment process

● Mentoring junior team members

Skills

● Firm understanding of relational data modeling concepts

● Firm understanding of integration best practices

● 6+ years of experience working with relational database: MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL

● Experience working with nosql database a plus

● 6+ years experience building ETL/ELT Integrations

● 3+ years of experience working with Dell Boomi

● Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services a plus

● Experience with other integration tools and platforms a plus

● Experience with building data warehouse a plus

● Understanding of data warehouse modeling a plus

● Write advanced SQL queries

● Write advanced SQL aggregation queries

● 5+ years of experience developing SQL procedures

● Experience with powershell, python, javascript a plus

● 4+ years of experience working with unix/linux/mac operating systems

● Experience working with git source control

● Experience working with automated database deployment tools a plus

● Experience working with building infrastructure deployment scripts a plus
