Position: Senior DevOps Engineer 

Location: Reston VA (Day 1 onsite)

Job Description: 

The Senior DevOps Engineer can deliver on the following responsibilities 

• Contribute to process improvement and opportunities for automation 


• Plan and execute defined DevOps and related engineering project tasks 


• Contribute to timely resolution of all routine and foundational DevOps problems and escalate complex issues 


• Gather and process inputs from DevOps, engineering, and IT subject matter experts across the release lifecycle 


• Support senior DevOps leadership by tracking and reporting on engineering projects and initiatives to ensure alignment between IT operations and the business 


• Support evolving concepts in continuous integration and deployment CI/CD pipelines for existing and new services 

Qualifications 

Minimum Required Experience 

• 4+ years of experience with DevOps tools and software engineering 


• At least 2 years of experience in DevOps Engineering and Cloud Migrations 


• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in AWS  


• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) 


• Deep automation skills in Jenkins 


• Good understanding of cloud-based databases like DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, RDS Oracle 


• Experience with AWS cloud-based DevOps practices 


• At least 2 years of hand on experience in scripting or programming languages like bask, shell, Python etc. 

Desired Experience 

• Skilled in GitLab 


• Experience using Git/Bitbucket 


• Understanding of Resiliency 


• Experienced in AWS – ECS, CloudFormation, Lambda, App Mesh, Route 53, SQS, SNS, S3, AWS CLI 


• Experience In CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (including automated testing framework)

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
