Pay Rate: $56/hr - $62/hr on W2
Must have Strong Linux, AWS, and Scripting (Perl, Python, or Bash). Must have experience scripting against API’s

Day to Day: The Linux DevOps Engineer will take a lead role in the administration of infrastructure and applications in AWS and will be responsible for architect and support. They are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their engineering team that focuses on our award-winning applications. They will work on an agile, outcomes driven team and act as a trusted partner to the product owner and agile project manager, and they will be developing supporting high-quality applications that align business goals to the millions of visitors that use our applications. The DevOps Engineer will also participate in on-call rotation and after hours support as required.
Skills:
· Knowledge of AWS user, security, and networking configurations
· Familiarity with Amazon Web Services: EC2, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, Beanstalk and Lambda.
· Expertise in Linux systems administration
· An understanding of core network protocols and services (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, REST/SOAP, FTPS/SFTP, DNS, SSL, firewalls, load balancers)
· Good scripting skills in perl, python or bash
· Experience scripting against APIs
· Application performance monitoring (Splunk, Nagios, New Relic, AlrtSite)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong attention to detail

· Excellent analytical, problem solving and resolution skills
· Strong sense of ownership and responsibly
Pluses:
· MSCS, BSCS or equivalent highly desirable
· Technical certifications highly desirable

· Experience with configuration management tools (Salt/Puppet/Chef)
· Experience with Apache, Tomcat, Jenkins
