As a lead designer on the team, you will have the unique opportunity to address the comprehensive needs across our lines of businesses as well as Capital One customers. You’ll help design and enhance our modular system of components and page templates that will establish the future vision of Capital One’s web experience. You’ll lead the partnership with stakeholders from various lines of business and guide them towards adopting shared design standards and components. You’ll also mentor junior designers and provide creative directions on various projects. Your work will improve user experience on capitalone.com and ultimately drive change across the larger design organization.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience


• At least 4 years of Design Experience


• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe CC, etc


• Working knowledge on responsive design and interaction patterns along with best practices for various platforms


• Understanding of human centered UX design


• Experience working within established brand guidelines and style guides


• Experience providing creative direction and oversight to other designers

Bonus Points if You Have:

• Experience working with consumer-facing products or websites


• Experience with system design


• Experience with web content management platforms


• Knowledge on HTML and CSS


• Experience with Jira
