Mandatory skill:

• 5+ years current SQL Server experience


• Develop database functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development.


• Customize queries to respond to customer data analytics requirements.


• Provide database solutions based on technical documents and business requirements.

About the Role 

As a Database Engineer, you will: 

• Executes and performs maintenance on existing ETL using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)


• Construct Analytics, Reports, ad hoc, SQL Server


• Track and resolve database related incidents and requests, in addition to reviewing reports, tracks and escalates requested database changes, and responds to related alerts and other escalations as needed.


• Executes database maintenance activities including re$B!>(Bindexing, backup/recovery strategies, and performance issues.


• Recommends implements and tests backup policies for databases and restores data as necessary.


• Contributes ideas to improve product functionality, maintainability or performance.


• Attends regularly scheduled meetings and provide written and verbal reports and analysis of associated technology issues. 


• Safeguards organizational Human Resources and financial sensitive information from unauthorized usage and individuals

You$B!G(Bre a fit for the role of Database Engineer, if you have:

• Basic knowledge of database technologies that are used to Extract, transform, load (ETL) data.


• Intermediate knowledge of use Microsoft SQL Server and components of SQL Server (SSIS, SSAS and SSRS)


• Intermediate knowledge of T-SQL


• Intermediate knowledge of the principles and methods of database design


• Intermediate analytical and problem solving skills


• Ability to work as part of a team


• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels both inside and outside of the organization


• Basic knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts


• Follows instructions, responds to management direction


• Intermediate knowledge of The systems development life cycle (SDLC)

Preferred

• Intermediate knowledge of Python

• Intermediate knowledge of Agile SDLC
