Job Title: AWS Data Engineer with Python Scripting

Location: San Antonio, TX (Currently Remote)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)

Note: Need senior profile.
Summary:

• Over 5 years of cloud architecture design and implementation experience using AWS, S3, Glue, EMR


• Strong background in data engineering and knowledge of languages such as python, java and scala


• Background in data & insights solution development with emphasis on AWS cloud and enterprise platform solutions


• Ability to work in an agile working environment with aggressive project timeframes


• Experience in articulating new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences


• Knowledge of AWS solutions architect tools and training with a focus on data engineering (S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Dynamo DB, RDS)


• Understanding of product business goals, business processes and solutions architecture


• Basic knowledge of Snowflake Data Warehouse as a Service and Data Build Tool(Dbt) for ELT/ETL between Snowflake data layers


• Enabling end to end data pipeline observability using AWS native tooling and/or Datadog


• Basic knowledge of Data Job orchestration / Cloud DevOps using AWS native tooling


• Basic knowledge of Data Movement tools such as Informatica, Datastage, Apache products and/or StreamSets


• Snowflake & DBT – Nice to have
